How to Prepare Artwork for Sticker Printing

Vector PDF, SVG, AI or EPS artwork scales cleanly. If you only have an image, send the largest original PNG rather than a screenshot or an image downloaded from social media.

Proofread names, websites and phone numbers. Keep important details away from the cut edge and convert specialist fonts to outlines where possible.

Explain whether you want a circle, square, simple shape or a contour around the artwork. We can add a suitable border when it improves cutting and presentation.

Measure the real surface in millimetres, print a paper template at actual size and tape it temporarily in place. Check it from the normal viewing distance. Then order a small quantity before committing to a large run, particularly when the surface is curved, textured, flexible, chilled or regularly cleaned. A successful test should cover appearance, adhesion, readability and removal—not just whether the sticker looks attractive when first applied.

Screenshots, compressed social-media images and tiny logos often look acceptable on a phone but print softly. Use the original vector file or largest transparent PNG. Proofread names, web addresses and phone numbers at final size. Keep essential text away from the cut line, and remember that colours on a bright screen can differ from printed ink. If the design includes a QR code, test the final proof on more than one phone.

Send a photograph of the intended surface, its measurements and the best artwork file you have. Explain whether the sticker will face water, sunlight, rubbing, refrigeration or tight curves. Those practical details are more useful than asking for the ‘best’ sticker in isolation.
